Claire Buck

“I began making jewelry at the age where friendship bracelets are all the rage. This love for jewelry expanded as I continued to learn different techniques and use different materials. I was born in Texas to two ceramic artists. My parents have and continue to give me much drive in creating things with my hands. I graduated from Texas A & M University in 2007 with a degree in International Studies. My travels throughout Latin America played a huge role in the development of my craft. I had the opportunity to travel with a Peruvian artist and learn not only valuable techniques but also a passion and reverence for tradition in an ancient craft.

I am currently living and creating in Austin, Texas. My work is inspired by many things including organic shapes, textures, and colors as well as vintage and found objects. I am regularly participating in local craft shows.”
